his website is dedicated to the understanding of Who God is, who Jesus is, and how they affect our lives, from a strictly Unitarian Christian perspective.
What is Unitarian Christianity?
Dr. David Miano writes a wonderful, comprehensive definition.
Essentially, UC’s believe in One God, the Father of us all. Jesus Christ is His Son, but not God in the flesh. The Holy Spirit is God’s way of interacting with His Creation (us, the Earth, the Universe). We respect all forms of Christianity, but we feel our beliefs best represent the true intentions of the message of Jesus Christ (the Gospel).
The Shema is the phrase that sums up all Jewish belief. It is written on the hearts of every devout Jew. It was written on Jesus’s heart, as he reaffirms the Shema’s deepest meaning in all he does and says. When asked what is the foremost commandment is, Jesus recites the Shema in Mark 12:29. which is located in Deuteronomy 6:4 and states states, “Hear, Oh, Israel: the Lord our God is ONE LORD.” Not only does Jesus say that God is One, but He calls God “our” God. Jesus continues to tell us that we are to love God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. Then, he gave us the secondmost commandment – we are to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. God gave us the living example of what He desires from us in Jesus. The glory that Jesus received is God’s Will for humanity. Jesus is the light of the world. Jesus is the living Word of God.
